Time to get dirty!!!

I spent all winter long dreaming about this day, and I am SO happy that it's finally here!

I'm talking about...

jersey and shorts weather.

and

Dry pavement weather.

And most importantly...

Singletrack weather!!!

Riding dirt is just as great as I remember it (maybe even better) and I plan on doing it as much as possible.

I'm not going to lie. This winter was hard, and our spring practically non-existent. Yesterday we had our first warm-ish day where temps went into the 50's and voila...the next day it was summer. It was over 80 degrees today and I have to admit it was a little shocking riding outside in it. Not only was I getting used to feeling the air on my legs and arms again, but I also had to get used to being hot. It was awesome!!!

In other news, the race season is right around the corner and I am scrambling to get everything ready in time. This past week was insanely busy at work, and I barely had time to fit training in. Hence the lack of blog posts. I basically had to strip down in the car, jump on my bike as soon as I got home and then ride until dark. I had to cut a few corners, but for the most part got everything in.

This weekend was much, much better as I got 9 hours of riding in between Saturday and Sunday. Scott and I also visited the Ada Bike Shop so that I could get fit to my Chili Con Crosso. I think we have the handlebar height right so all it needs is some handlebar tape and it should be ready to go!
We added some Thomson bling to the bike...
Right now the Ada Bike Shop has a ton of cool Salsa bikes in the shop and for some reason I feel like my bikes need to hang out on the floor as well. I don't want my bikes to be left out of the Salsa bike club :-)

We had to leave my Chili at the shop for Ted to finish it off, so I left it chili-ng (ha ha) with a customers mukluk....
