Things to do when the weather blows

Sunday, December 13th- Velo City Dessert Ride. The ride leaves the shop promptly at 2:00, but the mileage depends on the weather. I think the ride usually averages around 25 miles, give or take a few. There are short cuts available if you want to be the first one back to the brownies.

Yes it's freaking cold/downright nasty out. But you get to ride outside and then eat cookies and brownies and hot chocolate and coffee. Seriously, all it takes the mention of brownies and coffee and I'm like, "snow???? ice??? slush??? Bring it!"

Wednesday, December 16th- Mel Trotter fundie-undi-event at Mcfaddens. Bring socks/underwear and/or money and party with fellow cyclists! The fundraiser starts at 7 p.m. and goes until whenever. This is a great event for a great cause. Hope to see you there! More info here...

And in other news I finally did my power test today. I managed to procrastinate all the way until 5:30 p.m, but I finally got my butt downstairs and on the trainer. It's amazing how long 20 minutes can seem. I know I said this before, but I will say it again. I'm so happy that my body goes into auto-drive at times. Because my mind was sending out very strong arguments about why I should quit for the first 10 minutes. I was a little worried doing the test because my legs felt pretty tired, and I'm hoping I won't have to do it again for at least a month. Preferably a few months :-)
