All knotted up...

I'm finally starting to feel normal again.

Well, as normal as I get.

Yesterday was my first day back to the chiropractor, after a 2 month hiatus. Oh my gosh. I had forgotten just how painful ART therapy can be. Jason said that I was just as bad as the first time he worked on me. I wanted to point out that maybe he shouldn't leave the country anymore, but didn't want to seem more self-centered then I already am :-) Seriously though, I was injury free all last summer, and a good part of it was due to Jason.

He worked on my for at least a half hour, and I felt a lot better once it was all over. I was able to spin on the trainer for at 1.5 hours without feeling like my muscles were going to rip out of my body. Speaking of the trainer, this last trip down South has made me soft. For instance, it was sunny outside yesterday, and temps reached the lower 40's. Even so, I couldn't leave the basement, because I couldn't face having to put a ton of layers on.

Please, Michigan, warm up already!!!!

This weekend is going to be my first "race" of the season. I have to put "race" in parenthesis, because the idea of me racing a TT on the road has to be taken very, very lightly. I must be a sucker for punishment, because I recall racing the TT last year, and saying that I would never do another one in my life.

And here I am....ready to go again.

I won't be the only one racing this weekend. Most of my teammates will be kicking butt at Fontana (NMBS #1) this weekend, and I'll be cheering for them from across the country. Krista Park, has a blog herself, so be sure to check in on how she does. The Cape Epic starts in two days as well, and my teammate Hillary Harrison will be racing in the co-ed category. Next year I really want to do a stage race, and the Cape Epic is at the top of my list. It sounds like so much more fun then a road time trial!

I have a scarf for you. I meant to send it home with you after we met. It was supposed to guarantee you warmer weather. Maybe if I ship it? I've been freezing for days, even with high 60/ low 70 temps. Nasty bug.

I can confirm the weather here sucks big time right now. And the Yankee time trial is only 3 weeks away and you can't even get on the trails to train!
Good luck this weekend; did Bryan from Algomaha let you borrow his helmet? :^)

I know what you mean. This morning I took the garbage out and the wind was cold, the sky was gray and I took the bus to work and am feeling inclined to do my intervals on the trainer. I want sunshine and some 60 degree weather. And that's the end of my whining. Sigh.

Yankee time trial? Huh?

Two of the guys on my team skied that trail on Saturday. There was 10 inches of fresh snow the night before!!!

Hey, maybe change the event to a x-country ski time trial at Deep Lake this year! Couple tricky hills, but it might be fun! :^)

Mallie-maybe I can wear the scarf for the TT? I wonder what the drag would be on that?? :-)

Yeah my bitch is that I had to turn the air on in my car this past weekend. It was above 90 and I was soooo hot. Waa.

Sorry, I am originally from Ohio and I know how bad the endless drag of the Great Lakes winter is.

Arizona is much better for me and my disposition.

It's an open weave...so it might not be that bad. But it won't arrive in time. You could wear it at other events, though. Start your own Red Baron thing!

How did you go in the ITT? Hope you weren't in too much pain. Or should I say: If you weren't in too much pain you didn't go hard enough? :-)

The Time Trial isn't until tomorrow. I have to do a really long ride today, so I'm sure I'll be in a lot of pain :-) I'm hoping that I can just push through it!!
