Clean Underwear is a good thing....

I have a very important Public Service Announcement:

Join the BISSELL Cycling Club at Founders Brewing Company on Tuesday, December 11th at 7 pm till you wanna go home. The event is to collect underwear and/or socks for Mel Trotter Missions. The mission helps people in need, and two items that they never have enough of are the basics...socks and underwear. It's a really great event with a great cause, and a chance for cyclists (and friends) to gather and drink really good beer. Spread the word!!!

Speaking of Bissell, I spent most of my weekend riding with some of the Bissell girls. Initially I was planning on racing cross this weekend, but did one (or ten) too many lunges while lifting weights on Thursday.

I can still barely lift my legs...so racing would have been downright ugly. I decided to do some longer rides instead that didn't involve running and jumping. My friend Amy and I got about 3 hours in on Saturday, despite the drizzle. Once we warmed up it was actually ok. I did three more hours today with Cheryl, Amy and Toni. I managed to keep up, but my legs had that really heavy feeling that occurs from weight lifting. Each pedal stroke felt like a major effort.

I was definitely outnumbered by the "girls in green"
