Hello VMO
This weekend has left me feeling pretty tired. On Saturday, I lifted weights with Bonnie and Jason for an hour. After that, I rode outside for almost 4 hours. Out of all of the rides that I did this past winter, this ride was the hardest for me. It was snowing, sleeting, and in the 30's. I actually hopped on my trainer for my last hour, just so that I could get five hours of ride time in without freezing to death outside. Jason has me doing a lot of workouts to strengthen my VMO and I could actually feel it today every time that I moved my legs. We're definitely targeting the right muscles!
Today was a little better. Toni and I were able to get outside for about 3 hours on our mountain bikes and there were hardly any cars on the road. I guess that everyone was inside eating Easter food.
It will be so nice to go back to wearing just shorts (and when will that be?) I don't know if it's just a mental thing, but I swear that I'm slower when I have to wear multiple layers on my legs. I had on leg warmers and thick tights and it felt like I was doing resistance training with every pedal stroke.
Here I am with my little sister Toni. I can't wait to ditch my balaclava for good!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Really looks like fun out there in the snow and cold. Why didn't you call me to go riding!? :^)
Let's see: Easter dinner with the family or a 4-hour 20 degree windchill bike ride? Hmmmm; so hard to choose!
